The exhibition, entitled "Abject Object", chronicles the growth and progress of Art and Feminism at Ohio State University in the 1960's, 70's and 80s.

BRG is proud to have three artists included as part of the OHIO Art's Council Riffe Gallery's 2023 Biennial Juried Exhibition! BRG artist Jolene Powell served as on of the three jurors for the exhibition, which featured two more of our artists, Jason Morgan and Bernard Palchick. They are two of 63 artists whose work was chosen from 1,661 submissions from artists all across Ohio.
Of her role as Juror, Powell beautifully states, "Jurying this exhibition revealed to me that Ohioans heve a genuine love of art that reflects our canvas of existence, a rich tapestry woven from the threads of every artist's personal story". On view through Jan. 5th, 2024.

This exhibition celebrates the recent works of Columbus-based artist Bamazi Talle. The paintings on display center around the calabash, a gourd important to his Togolese heritage. Cultivated in West Africa for thousands of years as an essential crop, the calabash has spiritual and cultural significance to many. Talle injects his own deeply personal associations with the calabash to reflect on loss, rebirth, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
